You can carry out normal activities and you keep the monitor on all day and night. Wires from the electrodes connect to a small tape recorder on a belt worn around your waist. Your chest area is cleaned with alcohol and electrodes are stuck on. You will not be required to stay in hospital for the monitoring. 24 Hour Tape Monitoring is a test carried out to monitor your heart during your normal daily activities, over a 24 hour period. Some problems, like palpitations, are difficult to identify during routine heart examinations as they only happen now and then. Any problems with the heart's rhythm can be identified, to enable the correct treatment. The electrical impulses made while the heart is beating are recorded and shown on a piece of paper. The probe records the motion of the blood through the heart.Īn echocardiogram can help to identify heart problems that may cause blood clots to form.ĮCG (electrocardiogram) is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. The echocardiography machine converts these impulses into moving pictures of the heart. The transducer picks up the echoes of the sound waves and transmits them as electrical impulses. A gel will be spread on your chest and then an instrument called a transducer that transmits high-frequency sound waves is applied. You will be asked to remove your clothes from the waist up and lie on an examination table on your back. It allows doctors to see the heart beating, and to see many of the structures of the heart in a noninvasive way. Once the test is completed, you will be free to resume normal activities with no restrictions.Īn echocardiogram is a test that uses sound waves to create a moving picture of the heart. This test takes an average of 15 to 30 minutes for most people, though it can vary. The flow will be different in areas that are narrowed. The echo that bounces back is measured, and the changes in frequency can measure the flow of blood. The sensor is moved back and forth over the neck and generates sound waves that bounce off the arteries. This helps lubricate the skin and allow the ultrasound sensor to move more freely. The ultrasound technician will apply a jelly-like substance to both sides of your neck, where the carotid arteries are located. It is a non-invasive procedure, and no special preparations are necessary. The carotid doppler test can help doctors determine stroke risk and the need for preventive measures.Ī carotid doppler test may be performed if you are considered to be at risk of having a stroke due to decreased blood flow in the carotid arteries. These arteries can become narrowed due to atherosclerosis (furring up) or other causes, and this can lead to transient ischemic attack (mini-stroke) or stroke. Carotid doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive test that uses sound waves to measure the flow of blood through the large carotid arteries that supply blood to the brain.

It doesn’t include all of the features you’ll find in Lightroom Classic and it’s designed for easier navigation on a touchscreen. Lightroom CC is essentially a less robust version of the Lightroom Classic software. Lightroom CC makes it easy to export your images directly to social media, download high-resolution image files, and more. File backup is automatic, so you don’t have to worry about file loss or hard drive failure. In Lightroom CC, your original files like DNG raw files and JPEGs are stored in the cloud so you can access them on any device using your Adobe login information. You can even apply noise reduction, perform color grading, and use other more advanced features. You can create and apply presets, make common adjustments to photo settings like brightness, contrast, white balance, and vibrance, and you can alter white point and black point. Pros of Using Lightroom CCīeginners excel in Lightroom CC because the interface is efficient and intuitive. That consistency makes it easy to streamline your workflow, minimize the learning curve, and access your favorite editing tools and Lightroom presets no matter where you’re working or which device you use. Whether you prefer to use Adobe Lightroom on an iPad or tablet, a mobile phone, a web browser, or a desktop computer, the interface and functionality will remain consistent across all devices. Lightroom CC is the ideal program for beginners and professional photographers on-the-go. New download link below.Īfter reading some of the documentation and conducting various tests, I finally refined a way to create flawless H.264 video that works on a variety of devices, all without any gamma bug. Most importantly, it corrects the problem! This incredible beast is called x264Encoder, and it’s available on: Update: His site has disappeared. This plugin is still based on the award-winning x264 project, but it has over ten times as many fine controls on its settings page than the other x264 plugin. What finally saved me was a newer plugin by a Japanese genius named Takashi Mochizuki. So I had to resume my research, and I soon realized that Japan is still producing truly awesome people. This plugin simply doesn’t have the specific settings needed to create a video that will play on an iPhone or iPod. And, while the gamma problem was completely gone, I could not get any resulting movie files to play on any mobile devices.īasically, I tried every variation of advanced settings, and nothing would work. After a quick install process, I ran a few tests and exported a few different times, trying different settings each time. At first, all I found was a stand-alone plugin from 2006, so I grabbed it off of MacUpdate. I remembered that x264 was also available as a standalone Quicktime plugin, so I did some research. Then it occurred to me, what if I bypassed Handbrake altogether? What if I used the x264 encoder directly with Quicktime Pro? So now that Handbrake had failed, what could I do? Therefore, it would never be able to solve my problem. These results mean that Handbrake decides to treat gamma in the same inaccurate way that Quicktime Pro does. It’s a “one gamma-color-shift fix for Quicktime to rule them all”, kinda thing.Īnd in case you’re curious, this was done using a slight variant on the iPod encoding preset included in Handbrake. But the solution I’m about to share with you prevents this distortion of color and washed out gamma levels. Instead, the video gets lighter and washed out (some call it “brighter”, but that’s not technically accurate). The main problem with this gamma shift (which is sometimes inaccurately referred to as a color shift) is that your video’s “black levels” become unrealistic, and you loose the ability to have rich shadows. Here’s a simple animation that I created that alternates between a frame from my original uncompressed video and the same frame from Handbrake’s version of the video: It doesn’t desaturate the colors as some methods do, but it does change the brightness curve. Yet after conducting various tests, I was able to repeatedly demonstrate that using Handbrake does not solve the brightness bug at all. Originally, I heard this problem was easily solved using the Handbrake encoder because it used a different encoder than Quicktime, namely the award-winning x264 encoder. It seems there’s a lot of confusion around video, and that’s not surprising considering how absurdly complex it can be. And today, I’d like to clear away the confusion and openly show how I solved this problem once and for all, creating beautiful video that looks good on your computer, as well as video sharing sites like YouTube and Vimeo.įirst of all, while researching this article I was shocked at what I discovered to be true versus what I’d heard. Have you ever exported h.264 video only to find the colors washed out or faded? Maybe your blacks have become crushed into dark grays? When exporting episodes for my YouTube Channel, I encountered this problem, too. For anyone who has ever experienced problems when exporting H.264 video, this article was meticulously researched just for you. I have the We-Vibe Melt and it’s solidly my favorite toy I have ever tried. Real talk, air pleasure toys that simulate sucking are out of this world if you have a clitoris. I haven’t personally had a fantasy about a small rodent performing oral sex on me, but apparently, that’s a thing or else how do you explain this Squirrel Sucking Toy? It’s available in this fleshy peach tone and black. It’s 7.8 inches long in total (maybe six insertable) and 1.65 inches in diameter. It’s made of PVC silicone so it isn’t 100 percent silicone and may have that classic toy smell at first. It’s quite flexible and the suction cup base is handy for sticking to shower walls, bathtubs, headboards, or any flat surface. There are more little stimulating nubs on this than I’ve seen in a good long while. That said, if you’re all about textures, this toy has it. It doesn’t make me want to get busy, it makes me want to call the CDC. I’m sorry, but this just looks like someone has contracted a horrible alien virus. It’s not pictured here, but if you click through you will see that it also has a suction cup base and balls. But when you make it in a skin-tone, I am getting off the boat and setting the dock on fire. This is how far down the rabbit hole I’ve gone: a dildo that looks like a realistic ear of corn? Sure, why not. You’re welcome.Ĭryptid fanatics and horror fans can enjoy the substantial loving of this Monster, Alien, or Murloc from WoW. I came across this toy and I had to double-check and nope, they do not have this organ. I would also include this rooster dil here because roosters do not have a peen. Good on you, mythical beast lovers.įor fantasy nerds, you can get toy versions of a basilisk, unicorn, as well as several versions of dragon from flesh-toned to neon green and scaley–which, I’ll be honest, looks more like a grub than something I’d like to sit on. Interestingly enough, compared to real animal replicas, the mythical toys seem to be consistently made of quality silicone. There is a wide range of mythical creature dildos to be found on Amazon if you know where to look. (It also comes in a glow-in-the-dark version.) If you’ve ever watched your favorite fantasy movies and thought, “Man, I wish I could really ride that basilisk all the way to my bedroom,” you’re in luck. If that’s a bit much, there’s also Belladonna’s Magic Hand, an 11-inch realistic hand with the fingers more pointed for easier insertion. It offers 14 inches of insertable length. Keep in mind that this isn’t silicone so it can’t be sterilized and it’s not extra firm so it can be on the floppy side. It takes time to stretch and acclimate to something of this size so this makes for a good practice tool to work up to it over time. These toys are great if you’re interested in fisting but not ready to do it with a partner. It’s been brought up to me, regarding these toys, that the majority of us already have a hand, two even, but the angle of going solo is a real hassle. There have been informative how-to articles for fisting on even Women’s Health Magazine and Cosmo. (That’s a little fisting pun for you right there.)įisting is a practice that seems like it would be on the margins but is, again, more common than you’d think. I know plenty of good, averagely-kinky folks who are into fisting but that still doesn’t mitigate my initial creep-out factor when I see a this fisting toy that’s a cast of a human arm. |
